NATIONAL SEMINAR 2010 
To celebrate its silver jubilee, the Department of Library & Information Science, NEHU, Shillong will be holding a National Seminar in October 2010. The theme of the seminar is “Personality Development in the Library Profession.” The sub-themes are:
- Communication Skill
- Time Management
- Motivation
- Team Building
- Stress Management
- Image Building for Visibility
- Leadership Skills
- Employability Enhancement
CALL FOR PAPERS
Original papers related to the theme and sub-themes of the seminar are invited for presentation at the seminar. All papers will go through a process of review and accepted papers will be published in the seminar proceedings.

- Size of Paper – Should not exceed 5000 words
- Format – MS Word to be sent through Email
- Font – Style – Times New Roman, Size : 12 points. Headings and sub-headings to be given in boldface
- Spacing - Double
- Referencing Style – Harvard

- Seminar Dates – 21st to 23rd October, 2010
- Receipt of Abstracts – extended upto 31st July, 2010
- Receipt of full papers – extended upto 31st August, 2010
SILVER JUBILEE SOUVENIR
The Department of Library & Information Science, NEHU, Shillong is bringing out a Souvenir to commemorate its silver jubilee in 2010. Contributions in the form of reminiscences, accounts of personal experiences in the profession, opinions, poems etc. are invited from alumni, present pupils, faculty and associates of the Department to be published in the Souvenir. The last date for receipt of contributions is the 31st of August, 2010.
