Computer Centre, NEHU will organize a workshop on LaTex and SCILAB

Computer Centre, NEHU will organize 2 hours Workshop on (a) LaTex at 2:30pm on 15th May’2017 (Monday) (b) SCILAB at 2:30pm on 16th May’2017 (Tuesday) under the SPOKEN Tutorial project in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. LaTeX is available as free software.

Scilab is free and open source software for numerical computation providing a powerful computing environment for engineering and scientific applications. 

Scilab is available under GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista/7/8

Scilab includes hundreds of mathematical functions. It has a high level programming language allowing access to advanced data structures, 2-D and 3-D graphical functions. 

The following topic will be covered :

• Installing Scilab, Vector operations, Matrix Operations, Scripts & functions, Conditional branching, Iterations, Plotting 2D graphs, Ordinary Differential Equations, Polynomials etc.
