Lecturer in R.E. College, Durgapur, from February 1989 to November 2000 (nearly 12 years) (presently NIT, Durgapur), Assistant Professor in Kalyani Govt. Engg. College, Kalyani for nearly 3 years and NITTTR, Kolkata in CDC dept. for about 1 year, Asst. & Associate Prof. in Govt. College of Engineering & Leather Technology, Salt Lake for about 7 years.

Awards/Achievements

  • Member of the Sixth Reconstituted Task Force Committee on Bioinformatics, Computational and System Biology (BCSB) of DBT, Govt. of India.
  • Obtained National Merit Scholarship in 1974.
  • Obtained 3rd rank in BE in Bengal Engineering College out of 100 students.
  • Was selected in JEE West Bengal (rank 622) in 1980.
  • Awarded Post Doctoral Fellowship from the Ben-Gurion University, Israel.

Research Projects

Received one patent on development of a novel ‘See-Saw’ Bioreactor for animal cell line culture. Final patent approval number is 199363 (Indian patent).
