Applications are invited for the post Traineeship and Studentship in the DBT sponsored Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) at Department of RDAP, North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, Tura-794002, Meghalaya. The Posts are purely temporary and terminable at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof. The person engaged, shall not be entitled for any claim implicit or explicit for permanent absorption in the University. The initial appointment will be for three months and might be extended for another three months based on performance. The center reserves the right to add/ delete/ modify/ cancel the advertisement. 

Traineeship:

  • Eligible Candidates: Students who have completed Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology or in any branch of Life Sciences/ Agricultural Sciences/Computer Sciences. 
  • Desirable: Prior knowledge of bioinformatics/ programming language. 
  • Stipend: Rs. 8000/- p.m. fixed for a maximum six months. Studentship: 

Studentship:

  • Eligible Candidates: Students pursuing postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology or in any branch of Life Sciences/ Agricultural Sciences/Computer Sciences.
  • Desirable: Prior knowledge of bioinformatics/ programming language.
  • Stipend: 8000/- p.m. fixed for a maximum six months.

Candidates may send their application mentioning their Bioinformatics exposure, detailed Biodata and scanned copy of the testimonials via email/post and bring all the relevant documents in original and one set of self-attested photocopies of the same at the time of interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview and candidates have to make their own arrangements.
