Walk-in-interview for the Post of Project Assistant/Field Assistant (One position) for National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) sponsored project

Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-in-interview for the post of Project Assistant/Field Assistant in a National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) sponsored project entitled “Cultivation of Packing Leaves Plant for Livelihood Enhancement of ST Communities and Promotion of Packing Leaves as Substitute of Plastics in Meghalaya”. The details are as under:

Post Essential  Qualification Emoluments Nature   and   duration   of post
Project Assistant/Field Assistant 12th Pass in Science Preference will be given to the graduates (Botany/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry/ Environmental Science).   Rs. 3,900/- per month (fixed) up to 09.01.2022   The work will require extensive travelling and surveying in various parts of the Meghalaya and demands rigorous laboratory work. The appointment will be purely temporary basis and will be co-terminus with the project. The PI and Institute reserves the right to terminate the engagement of the Field/Project Assistant at any time, if the performance is not found satisfactory. The person engaged shall not be entitled for any claim implicit or explicit for permanent absorption in the University.

General Term and Condition: 

  • The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 15th May, 2019 at 2:30 PM.
  • Interested candidates should report at 2:00 PM on 15th May, 2019 at Department of Horticulture, NEHU, Tura Campus, Meghalaya – 794002 for attendance and document verification. After 2:30 PM on 15th May, 2019, no candidature will be considered for the interview.
  • An application with detail of bio-data, educational qualification and contact address/numbers may be sent in advance to the Principal Investigator (PI) through email at arindamnehu@gmail.com.
  • The posts are purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project. The candidate shall not claim any regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
  • The upper age limit is 30 years at the time of appointment.
  • The candidates will have to bring one copy of bio-data, publications, original certificates, self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and copy of recent passport size photograph. The originals are essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview. Documents such as dissertation report/thesis etc. should be presented to Board (if any).
  • Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
  • No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
  • Candidates will not be considered in absentia. 
  • Those in employment or doing Ph.D must submit “No objection certificate” from employer/ Ph.D supervisor at the time of interview.
  • Experience will be considered only if Experience certificate in original is produced at the time of interview clearly mentioning the duration and kind of employment.
  • The Principal Investigator (PI) of the project reserves the right to fill or not fill the Project Assistant/Field Assistant position or withdraw the notification or change the essential qualification (as per the need of the project) of the advertisement at any point of time and in any conflict the decision of PI and Institute will be final.
  • All legal implications are subjected to Tura jurisdiction only.
