Notification for the XXV Convocation scheduled to be held on 28th November, 2018

This is to notify that the XXV Convocation of the University will be held on 28th November, 2018 from 11:00A.M. onwards in the Convocation Hall, NEHU Permanent Campus, Mawkynroh Umshing, Shillong.

The recipients of various Degrees/Gold Medal/Special Award/Book Prize/ Merit Prize, are requested to be seated latest by 10:30A.M. at the Venue.

Distribution of gowns for the Convocation and Invitation Letters to the parents of the recipients of Gold Medals/Merit Prize and Special Award will be made available from the Examination Block as detailed below:

1. For Under Graduate students - the gowns will be distributed on 22nd, 24th and 26th of November, 2018 from 10:30A.M - 4:30 P.M. to be collected from Room Nos: 28 and 30 in the Ground Floor in the Examination Block.
2. Ph.D/M.Phil and Post Graduate students - gowns will be distributed on 22nd, 24th and 26th November, 2018 from 10:30A.M.- 4:30P.M. to be collected from Room Nos: 6 and 6A in the First Floor in the Examination Block..

For Gold Medal/Special Award/Book Prize, the details have already been uploaded in the University website on 17th November, 2018 vide Notification No:EX:PG:Conv:25th : 2018 dated: 17th November 2018.

For collection of gown, the recipient of Gold Medal/Merit Prize/Book Prize/Special Award for the year 2017 are required to produce photo copy of the final mark sheet/Grade Card. For remaining category a photo copy of receipt of payment to be produced.

Rehearsal will be held on 27th November, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Convocation Hall with full dress.

Return of Convocation gowns, collection of Certificates: Degree certificates will be issued from the Examination Department after conclusion of the Convocation ceremony and shall continue till 4th December, 2018. However certificates to students/scholars attending the Convocation, in person, will be issued only after return of Convocation gown..

Return of gown after 4th December, 2018 shall entail fine of Rs.50/- per working day as the case may be. Loss or damage of the Convocation gown will also entail a fine of Rs.2500/-(Rupees two thousand five hundred only) per gown.

No certificate will be issued without the return of the gown.
