Presently, we are involved in the synthesis, characterization and applications of chalcogenide semiconductor nanomaterials (CSN) and preparation of their various core shell nanomaterials. Low temperature / aqueous synthesis / greener techniques of semi-conductor nanocrystals (NCs),/colloidal quantum dots of various semiconductors, functilization of nanomaterials using suitable surfactants/polymers to make them suitable for the applications in the field of solar cells, chemical and biosensors, nanoscale electronic devices,  and light emitting nano devices are some of the knish areas dealt with in the lab. The nanomaterials are used to make ultra thin films on various templates to study their structural, mechanical, optoelectronic and transport properties. Cytotoxity and their antibacterial activity are also studied. We are also involved in Green Chemistry Technique Synthesis of Noble Metallic Nanoparticles (NMN) and their hybrid Nanocomposite with biocompatible applications. Besides, Nanofluids (metal/metal oxides/ metallic hybrid particles, nanowires, nanofibers nanotubes, rods, etc and their various physico-chemical and Thermo- physical properties are studied to assess their suitable applications in heat energy transfer industries and also check their tribological applications.
