    Development of newer methods in synthetic organic Chemistry: Boron trifluoride assisted 1, 2- carbonyl transposition of α, β -unsaturated ketones; synthesis of N-heterocycles of biological interest viz. pyridazines, benzoxazines and pyrimidines; Selenium dioxide mediated C-C coupling reactions: synthesis of novel compounds from easily available starting material
