Eligibility Criteria for Candidates for UPSC Civil Services

• Educational Qualification:
  • A candidate must have minimum 50% or above marks in the 10+2 (Intermediate) Examination.
  • The candidate must have Graduation Degree or must be studying in the final year of the Graduation at the time of admission.
  • The Graduation final year appearing candidates will be required to submit the proof of his/her continuation of last year of Graduation.
• Age Criteria:
  • Minimum Age: The candidate must have attained the minimum age of 21 years on or before 31.10.2023.
  • Maximum Age: The candidate must not be more than 36 years of age on 31.10.2023.

Eligibility Criteria for Candidates for GRE/GMAT/SAT/IELTS/TOEFL:

• Educational Qualification: 10+2
• Age Criteria: Must be 18 and or above at the time of application

Social Category Criteria:

• The candidate must belong to either Scheduled Caste (SC) or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
• SC/OBC candidates belonging to a Minority community will not be eligible for the scheme.
• ST and General candidates can be considered subject to vacancy.

Benefit Availing Criteria:

Benefits under the Scheme (DACE) can be availed by a student not more than twice, irrespective of the number of chances he/she may be entitled to take in a particular competitive examination. The student will be required to submit an undertaking in this regard.

Income Criteria:

• The candidates having total family income of Rs. 8.00 lakh or less per annum from all sources will be eligible for benefits under the Scheme.
• The candidate must have a latest Income Certificate of self-employed parents/guardian which should be in the form of a certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
• Employed parents/guardians are required to obtain a latest income certificate from their employer and submit a consolidated certificate from the Revenue Officer including any other additional source of income.

Selection Criteria:

• 100 candidates will be selected based on the merit list finalized by NEHU DACE.
• The DACE 2023 Entrance Examination will be conducted through Computer-based Entrance Test and will consist of 100 Multiple Choice questions based upon the Syllabus of Union Public Service Commission’s Civil Services - Preliminary Examination.

Reservation Criteria:

• Reservation Criteria: 70 seats for coaching will be reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, while 30 seats will be reserved for Other Backward Classes Candidates.
• In both the SC & OBC categories 30% of the seats will be reserved for female candidates.
