The North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong celebrated its University Day on May 26th, 2021 in front of the Administrative Block, permanent campus. It may be mentioned that the North-Eastern University was established on May 26, 1973 with the objective to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities.
The programme was a low key affair due to the Covid-19 pandemic while maintaining social distancing.
