A brief Report of the Conference COMSYS-2021

A three day International Conference on COMSYS-2021, the second edition of the International Conference on Frontiers in Computing and Systems (September 29 to October 01, 2021), being organized by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Information Technology North-Eastern Hill University (A Central University) Shillong, Meghalaya, India, associated with IEEE Computer Chapter, Kolkata Section, and the COMSYS steering committee, Kolkata. This conference was inaugurated on 29th September 2021 at NEHU by the Chief Patron of the COMSYS-2021, Prof. P. S. Shukla, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU); Prof. Debotosh Bhattacharjee of Jadavpur University welcomed all the participants, and Prof. Subhadip Basu elaborated the program details of this event. The Registrar, North-Eastern Hill University, Dr. J. N Nayak attended the inaugural session as Guest of Honor.

COMSYS-2021 is being organized in hybrid mode for the presentation of papers with relentless efforts by organizing team from NEHU to provide a platform to the students, researchers, academicians, and people from industry to achieve the insight and deep understanding of the topics Image, Video & Signal Processing; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Science; VLSI, Devices & Systems; Computer Networks, Communication & Security; Biomedical & Bioinformatics; Internet of Things, Cloud & Mobile Computing; Computer Intelligence, and Computational Biology, Security, and VLSI.

There are expert speakers from the USA, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia for emerging topics in computing and systems. One “industry connect” panel discussion session is also in place with experts from Hitachi Australia, Wipro India, and an Entrepreneur from the USA.

COMSYS-2021 received considerable global and national attention, with technical program committee members and reviewers from 30+ different countries voluntarily participated in the technical process. Participants from 12 countries outside India and 10 different states in India have registered to attend the conference. Around 30% of all participants are female.
