Valedictory function of the 8th Faculty Induction Programme organised by UGC-HRDC NEHU, Shillong

The Valedictory function of the 8th Faculty Induction Programme organised by UGC- HRDC NEHU,Shillong was held on  31st March, 2022. The Programme was attended by the Vice -Chancellor,NEHU, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla , Registrar, Dr J N Nayak, Deans ,Course Cordinators, Resource Persons, Director and  Faculty of UGC- HRDC, NEHU, Shillong  .

Chief Guest of the function Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla in his valedictory speech said that teachers are the backbone of our education system and builders of the nation. He lauded HRDC NEHU for  their continuous effort in organising different programmes for upgrading the knowledge of the teachers and training in different skills required for tertiary education. He appreciated the role of the  university teachers who supported these programmes as resource persons especially in guiding the teacher trainees through their lectures on various aspects of Higher Education.

Prof.  Shukla also congratulated  all participants for successful completion of the course and urged them to reflect, ponder and apply what they have learned and give back to their students.

  Prof. S R Rao, Director I/C, UGC - HRDC  NEHU,Shillong welcome the participants and the  Chief Guest, the Registrar and all thedistinguished guests present. In his  speech he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Vice Chancellor,NEHU,Shillong for his continuous support to all the programmes  organised by UGC – HRDC, NEHU..He also congratulated the participants on successful completion of the course  and hope  that this programme have catered to their needs  be it in their Communication skills, Personality development as well as in their Teaching and Learning Skills.

 Dr Q Kharbuli, Associate Professor,UGC- HRDC NEHU, Shillong gave a brief presentation on the academic activities conducted by UGC - HRDC during the calender year 2021 -22.

Others who spoke on the occassion includes Dr K B Das, co-ordinator of the8 th Faculty Induction  programme who gave a brief report on the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks.
