The North-Eastern Hill University takes pleasure to inform that it would be holding its XXVII Convocation on May 21, 2022. Sri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister i/c of Education etc., has kindly consented to attend this XXVII Convocation as its Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address besides giving away prizes and medals to the various awardees. Sri Conrad K. Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya would grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour and would also take part in giving away prizes, certificates and citations besides addressing the house. It is estimated that a total of 127 Medal Winners that includes 38 University Gold Medal Winners and 87 Rector’s Gold Medal Winners in various categories would receive their respective awards from the dignitaries present in the Convocation. Professor P. S. Shukla, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, NEHU would preside over the XXVII Convocation Ceremony and admit the candidates to their respective degrees.
In all 2103 candidates comprising of 83 Ph.D., 06 M. Phil 540 Post Graduates and 1474 Graduates in various streams are expected to receive their respective degrees in person while a total of 13855 others shall be conferred upon their respective degree in absentia during the Convocation.
