Like last year, this time also the department of Physics, department of BSSS, department of Architecture & Centre for Science Education of North-Eastern Hill University organized a one day programme on 7th November, 2016 in collaboration with Shillong Science Centre to mark the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Madam Marie Curie & Sir C.V.Raman. The programme held at the Shillong Science Centre, NEHU Campus. The Vice Chancellor of NEHU, Prof. S.K. Srivastava graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the OSD of Shillong Science Centre, Mr. H. Nongbri, was the Guest of Honour. The HSSLC & HSLC students from various schools of Shillong participated in the programme and poster competition on the science theme relevant to Madam Curie & Sir C V Raman inventions. The participants were exposed to a couple of science lectures of relevance and demonstration of working scientific instruments. A 3D video presentation on sea animals and free access to various science galleries of the Science Centre were added attraction for the students and their teachers.
