Introduction: In 21st century digital skills are essential for work, life and learning. Besides, providing information, digital skills have potential to improve the overall productivity of individuals. Teacher educators with digital efficiency can easily access the multiple sources of information and utilize the ICT to promote creativity among students. Also they can prepare better teachers for future workforce and life. The proposed workshop is to enable teacher educators to prepare training module in general and training module on digital skills in particular. The workshop will also generate awareness among teacher educators about utility of digital skills for teachers and teacher educators. Considering the wide scope and usefulness of digital skills for teachers the Department of Education, North-Eastern Hill University under the MHRD Scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) has planned to organize a Workshop on ‘Development of training module on digital skills’ to empower the teacher educators.
Objectives of the workshop
Target population: Pre-service teacher educators of Meghalaya.
Maximum number of Participants- 25
Duration of the workshop- 2 days (3-4 September, 2019)
TA/DA and accommodation to participants: TA will be provided to all the participants. Accommodation will be provided to the participants on their request. Working lunch and refreshment will be provided to all the participants.
