Area of Interest/ Specialisation

I am having specialization in ancient India. Gradually I moved into the study of gender history and started analysing socio-economic changes from gender perspective. Now my researches are more centred on locating gender relations in ancient India through tracing the factors and circumstances that helped in the development of a strong patriarchal society. Along with this early Assam also attracted my attention. Now days I am exploring different aspects of the economy, society and culture of early Assam.
