  • As a Principal, On 1st December, 2003, the IASE, KU in association with the Centre for Women Studies has organized an Extension Lecture on “Social Mobilization in Eradication of Child Labour in Andhra Pradesh” by Prof. Shanta Sinha, an eminent educationist and awardee of ‘Romon Magsaysay Award-2003’ at Senate Hall of Kakatiya University.

The book entitled “Creativity in Education” released by Prof. Jayaprakash Rao, Vice-Chairman, APSCHE, Hyderabad, KU and presided by Prof. V. Gopal Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Kakatiya University, Warangal.
  • Teacher’s Day Celebrations (2005): IASE, KU has organized Teacher’s Day celebrations on 5th September, 2005. The IASE has felicitated Prof. N. Gopi, former Vice-Chancellor, Telugu University, Hyderabad, an eminent Telugu Poet and former I/c Vice-Chancellor, KU. Prof. V. Gopal Reddy was the Chief-Guest for the function.
  • Book releasing function (2005): A book on “Strengthening of Teacher Education –Role of ICT” in which the National Seminar’s papers were Edited by Dr. N. Ramnath Kishan published with the financial assistance of UGC, KU.  This book was released on 10th January, 2005 and Prof. V. Gopal Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, KU has released the book at IASE, KU.
  • Educational Tour (2004): IASE, KU has organized an Educational Tour to M.Ed. students from 7th to 16th December, 2004 covering Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Goa, Pondicherry, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh States.
  • Donations for CARE (2004): The B.Ed. Trainees and Staff of IASE have Donated Rs.2100/- to the CARE Foundation, Hyderabad for the benefit of small children with cardiac problems during September, 2004.
  • Teacher’s Day Celebrations (2004): IASE, KU has organized Teacher’s Day celebrations on 5th September, 2004. The IASE has felicitated former Vice-Chancellor, KU, Prof. Chandrakant Kokate, an eminent educationist and Prof. S.C. Sarma, former Dean, Faculty of Education, Andhra University, Vizag, and Member, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), SRC, Bangalore.
  • Akshara Sankranti Programme (2003): The Principal & Head, IASE acted as Coordinator, conducted External Evaluation of Akshara Sankranti Programme of Warangal Municipal Corporation area, as desired by the Vice-Chancellor, KU, the District Collector, Warangal and the Mayor, Warangal Municipal Corporation.  Totally 11,456 Neo-literates were attended the test from 51 divisions (Started on 24th Feb,2004 and report was submitted during November, 2004, the study has revealed that 88.13 percent of the neo-literates have qualified).
  • Worlds AIDS Day (2003): IASE, KU has observed the Worlds AIDS Day on 1st December, 2003 in association with NSS Unit of IASE and the students have taken a procession along with other colleges and instrumental in spreading the message and developing the awareness of AIDS.
  • Annual Day Celebrations (2003): IASE, KU has celebrated Annual Day Function of IASE on 29th November, 2003 at the end of B.Ed. programme.  On the occasion, Literary & Cultural competitions, Sports & Games were organized for B.Ed. students.
  • Book Release Function (2003): IASE, KU has organized a “Book Release Function” authored by Prof. R. Madava Rao, Professor of Hindi, KU on 22nd October, 2003. The book entitled “Kya Kahthi Hai Manavtha” and dedicated to and released by Prof. Chandrakant Kokate, Vice-Chancellor, KU.
  • NSS Day and Clean & Green Programme (2003):  IASE, KU has celebrated “National Service Scheme (NSS) Day” on 24th September, 2003 and developed awareness on many issues and objectives of the NSS among the B.Ed. students.  The institution has organized “Clean & Green” programme with the B.Ed. trainees.  The campus was cleaned and new saplings were planted on the occasion.
  • International Literacy Day (2003): IASE, KU has celebrated “International Literacy Day” on 8th September, 2003 in association with National Service Scheme Unit of IASE.  On this occasion, Essay Writing, Elocution and Songs Competition on Literacy was organized to all 39 Colleges of Education affiliated to Kakatiya University, Warangal.  Prof. V. Thirupathaiah, an eminent educationist, researcher & vocalist, and Sri Vallampatla Nageshwar Rao were the Guests of Honour and acted as Judges of the competitions on this occasion.
  • Teacher’s Day Celebrations (2003): IASE, KU has organized Teacher’s Day celebrations on 5th September, 2003 on the occasion of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s Birthday.   • As a Principal, IASE, KU has organized a Three-day Orientation-cum-Workshop on Projects of B.Ed Practicum for Teacher Educators of affiliated B.Ed Colleges of Kakatiya University on 8th to 10th July, 2005 for all the subject teachers and Principals (general and methodologies).
  • As a Principal, IASE, KU conducted One-day Orientation Programme to Teacher-Educators of affiliated B.Ed. Colleges on Environmental Education and introduction of National Green Corps (NGC) in Teacher Education Colleges on October 14, 2004 in collaboration with National Green Corps (NGC).
  • As a Principal, IASE, KU has organized a Three-day Orientation-cum-Workshop on Projects of B.Ed Practicum for Teacher Educators of affiliated B.Ed Colleges of Kakatiya University from 10th to 12 September, 2004 for all the subject teacher educators and Principals (general and methodologies). The number of participants were about 300.
  • As a Principal, IASE, KU has organized “One Day Workshop on Curricular Reforms in Teacher Education (B.Ed.) – A Preparatory Workshop” on 16th December, 2003 and involved all the senior faculty members of teacher education under KU jurisdictional area and presented the resolutions at the State Level Workshop.  Some innovative suggestions were also made in different subjects with regard to theory and practice of existing curriculum.
  • As a Principal, IASE, KU has organized a “Three-Day Orientation-cum-Workshop on Methods of Teaching (Physical Sciences, English, Telugu and Hindi)” for Teacher Educators of 39 Affiliated Colleges of Teacher Education under Kakatiya University region from 29th to 31st October, 2003.
  • As a Principal, IASE, KU has organized a “Two-Day Orientation-cum-Workshop on Methods of Teaching (Mathematics, Biological Sciences and Social Studies)” for Teacher Educators of 39 affiliated Colleges of Teacher Education under Kakatiya University region on 9th and 10th October, 2003.

  • National Seminar on Quality Improvement in Teacher Education – Problems & Prospects (2005): As the Director, the Principal & Head has organized Two-Day National Seminar on Quality Improvement in Teacher Education – Problems & Prospects” sponsored by University Grants Commission on 28th & 29th March, 2005.  35 Papers were presented by the participants were of immense use in suggesting desirable changes which need to be brought in the learning environment to create a conducive climate in classrooms, develop positive attitudes among the teachers, and suggest remedies for the present problems.
  • National Seminar on Creativity in Education (2004): As the Director, the Principal & Head has organized Two-Day National Seminar on “Creativity in Education” sponsored by University Grants Commission on 24th & 25th March, 2004.  20 Papers were presented by the participants which are highly thought provoking and inspiring in the context of Creativity, where its applications are more useful in the teaching-learning process.

Refresher Courses Organised

As a Principal & Head, IASE (Department of Education), KU (2003-2005):

  • Refresher Course in Education (2005): The University Grants Commission has sanctioned a Refresher Course in Education for the Teacher Educators from different corners of the country. As the Course Coordinator, the Principal & Head has organized the Refresher Course from 02nd March, 2005 to 22nd  March, 2005.  39 teacher educators have participated in the Refresher Course.
  • Refresher Course in Education (2004): The University Grants Commission has sanctioned a Refresher Course in Education for the Teacher Educators from different corners of the country.  As the Course Coordinator, the Principal & Head has organized the Refresher Course from 25th February, 2004 to 17th March, 2004.  About 40 teacher educators have participated in the Refresher Course.

  Curriculum preparation and Implementation

As a Chairperson, BOS in Education (2002 to 2003, 2011-2013, ), KU, Warangal:

  • Prepared curriculum for B.Ed.
  • Prepared curriculum for M.Ed.
  • Moderation of Question Papers for B.Ed. & M.Ed for smooth conduct of Examinations.
  • Introduced Bio-Metric attendance for all the B.Ed Colleges in Kakatiya University Jurisdictional Area.

Evaluation and Examination Reforms

As the Controller of Examinations, KU, Warangal from 01-07-2017 to 31-05-2021 the following functions have been carried out:

  • Conducted most of the university examinations as per the academic calendar and declared the results in time during the tenure from 1st July, 2017 to 31st May, 2021.
  • Coordinated the functions and responsibilities of the different sections of Examination Branch like Confidential, Non-Professional (UG & PG), Professional (UG & PG), SDLCE, EDP, Documents, etc.
  • Monitored the:
    1. Consolidation of Exam Fee remitted from the concerned candidates/Colleges.
    2. Determination of the eligible registered candidates, Rectification of  Nominal Rolls.
    3. Identification of Theory and Practical Exam Centres.
    4. Release of Time-tables.
    5. Distribution of Answer Booklets to the Centres, (vi) Release of Hall-Tickets
    6. Follow-up / Ensuring the issuance of Hall-tickets to the eligible candidates.
    7. Monitor posting of Online D-Form & Attendance Statements on KU website.
  • All kinds of Bill payments were processed on time and well-maintained Office Stationery, other Examination Material, Contingency, etc.
  • Monitored time to time the Question Paper readiness, Packing of Question Papers, Data Bank of Pre-Examination,  Letters of Correspondence, Conduct of Examinations (Theory & Practical, Seminars, Viva-Voce, etc.), Appointment of Chief Superintendent(s) & Observer(s), Arranging logistics for dispatch of and receiving the examination material, Issue of Appointment/Assignment Orders related to Paper-setters, Chief Examiners, Examiners (Internal/External), Scrutinizers, Special Squad(s)/Flying Squads, etc.; Monitoring Measures for Safe Custody of Examination Material, Tabulation Registers, Memoranda of Marks, etc, Data Bank of Post-Examination.
  • Prepared Merit / Rank Lists for forwarding to colleges / concerned offices for sanction of Merit Scholarships / other scholarships.

  • The combined section of Post-graduate & Professional Courses Section has been bifurcated for effective and smooth functioning of the conduct of exams valuation, results processing, declaration of Results in time, during 2018.
  • As a Controller of Examinations, Actively Participated in the NAAC-2017 in retaining ‘A’ Grade with increased grade-point for Kakatiya University. The Functioning and Performance of the Examination Branch was evaluated and appreciated by the NAAC Peer team during re-accreditation of NAAC-2017 of the Kakatiya University, Warangal-TS.
  • As part of the national initiatives made by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, the Controller of Examinations as Controller and Nodal Officer attended series of meetings related to National Academic Depository (NAD) from June 2018 onwards:
    1. National Level Review/Interface meeting convened in the office of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi, on 21/06/2018;
    2. one day workshop on National Academic Depository (NAD) on 16/07/2018, at Seminar Hall, University College for Women, Koti, Hyderabad, convened by UGC (SERO), Hyderabad.
    3. A meeting on 21/12/2018 at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, convened under the Chairpersonship of Joint Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of HRD to discuss the progress made in implementation of National Academic Depository (NAD) in universities approved under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
    4. The meeting through Video Conferencing on 04-01-2019, at Examination Branch along with Dr. B. Rama, Director, Networking, KU, convened by Ministry of HRD to discuss with Nodal Officers to review the action taken and status of progress made in implementation of National Academic Depository (NAD) in universities approved under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
    5. One-day National level REVIEW meeting on NAD (National Academic Depository) on 10/07/2019, at Seminar Hall, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad convened by UGC (SERO), Hyderabad.
  • As a Controller of Examinations, conducted XXI Convocation on 11th July, 2018 successfully in awarding the Gold Medals and Ph.D. degrees and the same was appreciated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. R. Sayanna.
  • As Controller of Examinations and Chairperson of the tender Committee, successfully finalized the tenders of automation work of Post-Examination Work were outsourced vide KUNo. 484/C1/KU/2018-2019/c66, dated 22/11/2018 and successfully completed result-processing work from 2018-2019 onwards.
  • Streamlined the activities of Automation of Pre-Examination Work being outsourced to a software company by preparing the ‘Checklist System’ before the payment of the bills from 2018 onwards.
  • Introduced the System of ‘Challenged Valuation’ to curb Erratic Evaluation of Answer Scripts.
  • Introduced online transaction system of receipts and payments for all the activities of the examination branch, viz., Examination Fee, Certificates of Provisional, Consolidated Memo, Degree-in-Absentia, Transcripts, Genuineness Verifications, and disbursement of various kinds of remunerations to the parties concerned, etc for the first time.
  • In view of the introduction of CBCS pattern for PG & UG (Professional & Non-Professional) Programmes, the grading vis-à-vis grade points have been worked out with accurate percentile, and accordingly, marks sheets have been designed and released for printing.
  • Besides university examinations, departmental promotion tests for non-teaching employees were conducted twice for the promotion to the post of Senior Assistant and Superintendent from the eligible regular employees of Kakatiya University.
  • Sold out the used answer booklets and waste material accumulated in Examination Branch for worth of Rs. 43.0 lakh by inviting e-Tender.
  • Anti-plagiarism for Ph.D and M.Phil thesis was introduced during 2018 for the first time.
  • During the pandemic-2019 situation, efforts were made to successfully introduce the Online System for ‘Question Paper sending’ to the Chief Superintendents of all the Examination Centres in three Districts i.e., Adilabad, Khammam and Warangal in November/December-2020 for the first time.
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic situation, Examination Branch has ventured to conduct examinations beyond the territorial jurisdiction of KU by identifying the other university/government colleges as Examination Centres for the first-time during February 2021.
  • Introduced Onscreen Valuation and Digitization of Answer Scripts of PG/Professional Courses through outsourcing from November/December-2020 onwards for the first time.
  • Constructed Compound Wall and the SBI Counter in the premises of Examination Branch for safety and support services to the students, etc.
  • Prepared and submitted the ‘Office Manual for Examination Branch’ for entire operations, procedures, duties and responsibilities of persons involving in the entire examination system to the University on 31-05-2021 for approval and implementation.
  • Prepared a Web-based ‘Integrated Examination Management System (IEMS)’ and submitted to the University for inviting e-tenders for the development of full-fledged software module for Kakatiya University examinations, its installation & execution and e-governance on contract basis for effective and on-time services to its stakeholders.

  • Delivered the Plenary Lecture in a National Seminar entitled ‘Quality Concerns in Teachers Education Programme: Challenges and Opportunities’ in Bajali Teacher Training College, Pathsala, Kamrup (Assam) on 22nd & 23rd March 2013, in collaboration with the College Development Council, Gauhati University, Assam.
