The NEHU Guest house at Guwahati airport was made functional by the University in February 2006 with 6 rooms. At present there are 7 AC rooms, 18 non-Ac rooms, 14 VIP rooms with AC, 6 VIP suits and a mini Conference hall with a capacity for 50 delegates and a big AC conference hall with a capacity of 150 which is fully functional- (Smartboards, Podium, microphone & PA System). WiFi & CC TV and Car parking is also available. The booking process of rooms is being done by email to nehughgau@gmail.com. And the above contact nos. The guest house has a well furnished dining hall where around 40 people can dine at a time. For the benefit of guests RO water is available in addition to 2 Aqua guard that are installed in both the floors for the benefit of our guests. Primarily, the guest house caters to the need of NEHU officials who passes through Guwahati being a corridor between other parts of the country. The guest house also caters to the need and extends common conferencing facilities not only to all other central & state universities of north-east, but also the govt. of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh besides, RIIMS, AMC, DRL. Also the guest house caters to the needs of the air passengers in the wake of cancellation of flights on request by the airport authority of India.
