Sports Department of the University, Shillong, has organised a Badminton & Table Tennis Competition under 'Fit India Movement'

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India has launched ‘Fit India Movement’ on the 29th August 2020 to take the nation on a path of fitness & wellness. By looking in to the importance of fitness & wellness, the Sports Department of the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya has organised a Badminton & Table Tennis Competition under ‘Fit India Movement’ for Teaching, Non-Teaching, Students & Staff ward of the NEHU Community. The competition is organised from the 14th to the 16th of December 2020 at the Indoor Stadium, NEHU Permanent Campus, Shillong. Approximately 50 numbers of participants has taken part in the competition. 
The competition is ended with a closing ceremony where Shri N. Das, Assistant Director (Sports), NEHU, Shillong, Prof. K. Debberma, Dean, School of Social Science, NEHU, Shillong, Prof. B. S. Mipun, Head, Department of Geography, NEHU, Shillong & other teaching & non-teaching staff were present. Winners of the competition are awarded with mementoes & certificates.
