1st NEHU Half Marathon 2021 organised

The Sports Department, North-Eastern Hill University organised the first NEHU Half Marathon 2021 & Fun Run on the 20th of March, 2021 at the NEHU Permanent Campus, Shillong under the ‘Fit India Campaign’ of the Government of India.  The event organised in collaboration with State Bank of India, NEHU Branch, Shillong was flagged off by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, NEHU, Prof. H. Lamin. The event ended with a presentation ceremony where the Vice-Chancellor, NEHU, Prof S. K. Srivastava, the Chief Manager, State Bank of India, NEHU Branch Shri Anindya. Deb, the Registrar, NEHU Dr. J.N.Nayak, Dean of Students Welfare cum Teacher In-charge, Sports Department, Prof. S. Umdor, and Assistant Director (Physical Education), NEHU cum Organising Secretary were present. Cash prizes, mementoes and ‘finisher’ medals were awarded to all participants.

Earlier on 27th February, the Sports Department oraganised the first of its kind cyclothon event which was sponsored by State Bank of India.
