A Two week Refresher Course for College and University Teachers was organized by UGC- HRDC NEHU in collaboration with Department of Commerce, NEHU,Shillong . The inaugral function held on 20th October was presided by Prof. N M Panda,Department of Commerce,NEHU,Shillong.

Prof A D Pati, Dean School of Economics, Management & Information Science, NEHU,Shillong While speaking asthe Chief Guest on the occassion mentioned that the theme of the programme is highly appropriate in the present situation and emphasise the need to educate and create awareness on the participants the importance of the NEW EDUCATION POLICY.

Others, who spoke on the occasion includes, DR (Mrs) Q Kharbuli,Associate Professor ,UGC- HRDC,NEHU and DR. R J Syngkon,Co- ordinator,Department of Commerce,NEHU,Shillong.

The Programme saw the atendance of 34 nos of Partipants from North East of India as well as participants from other states of India.
