In his insightful address, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, the Vice-Chancellor of NEHU, emphasized the importance of cleanliness and its profound impact on the environment. He highlighted that "Swachta Divas" should not merely be a one-day event but rather a year-long commitment to keeping our surroundings clean and preserving the natural beauty of our region. Prof. Shukla further drew inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, who consistently championed the cause of cleanliness and the preservation of nature.

"Mahatma Gandhi's teachings and ideals continue to resonate with us today," said Prof. Shukla. It is our responsibility to follow in his footsteps and work towards a cleaner and greener future."

The active involvement of students and teachers showcased their commitment to these values and their determination to contribute positively to the environment.

The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing their eagerness to continue these initiatives and make a lasting impact on the cleanliness and sustainability of the region.
