University level-Pledge taking Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

On 18 August 2025, the university hosted pledge taking under- Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan program aimed at raising awareness. The event inspired students and emerging leaders to embrace healthier, more purposeful paths—cultivating lives rooted in culture, discipline, and lasting fulfillment.

Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri S. M. Umdor, Registrar (in-charge) Shri Saurabh K. Dixit, Dean-School of Human and Environmental Sciences Prof. Devesh graced the occasion.

For the campaign volunteers, the session was both a valuable learning and knowledge-building opportunity. As enthusiastic participants and members of the university community, they were thrilled to be part of this transformative evening. Under the guidance of Dr Phrangstone Khongji (Nodal officer) and DR Chandrakanta (CO-nodal officer)- Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, specific roles were assigned—Mahfouz Abdullah, Shashikant, and Mohit Kumar excelled as members of the moment-capturing committee, while Nitesh Boora, Vivek Kumar, and Aditya Singh handled report writing.

The session featured collective pledge and the hall pulsed with energy, unity, and determination—a vivid symbol of a community committed to change.

As one advocate poignantly declared:

“Nasha is not just an addiction; it is a slow poison that destroys families, careers, and dreams.

Through Nasha Mukti Abhiyan, we aim to awaken society, guide the youth, and build a drug-free nation.”

Another added:

“A life without addiction is a life full of possibilities. Every step taken towards quitting is a step closer to freedom.”
