The School of Economics, Management and Information Sciences organised a Management Development Programme

The School of Economics, Management & Information Sciences, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, and supported by the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, Shillong organised a Management Development Programme for the 1997 and 1999 Batches of Indian Revenue Service Officers from 29th – 30th April, 2019 at NEHU, Shillong. In all, a total of 16 officers participated at the programme which centred on diverse areas related to the North Eastern Region of India. Resource persons discussed on a wide range of issues from leadership development to the relevance of the Act East Policy as well as local governments and investments in the region. Through the programme an effort was made to familarise the senior all India level officers to the developmental dynamics and imperatives of the region. It assumes importance as these officers are occupying critical positions in the Government and their decisions impact public policy. The programme was earlier inaugurated by NEHU VC Prof. S.K. Srivastava and was chaired by Prof. B.Panda, Dean, SEMIS.
