The School of Technology, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is organizing the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 to identify and nurture innovative student ideas for participation in India's largest innovation challenge. This school-level event provides a platform for students to develop and present original solutions to real-world problems across diverse domains such as Smart Automation, Healthcare, Agriculture, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Renewable Energy, Smart Education, and more.
The internal hackathon serves as the preliminary screening process for selecting teams from the School of Technology to represent NEHU in subsequent stages of Smart India Hakathon (SIH) 2026. Participants will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, apply their technical and creative skills, and compete to transform innovative concepts into impactful solutions. The event aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and problem-solving among students while encouraging them to contribute towards technological advancement and societal development.
