Professional Profile:

Dr. Shruti Shukla was working as a Senior Scientist (Fellow) at TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre, India. She is also awarded the DBT-Ramalingaswamy Re-Entry fellowship in 2019, which she initiated with the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), India.  Dr. Shukla is having more than 13 years abroad experience as Assistant Professor in the field of Food Science, Bio-Nanomaterials and Nano-sensing approaches at South Korean Universities. She has published more than 100 articles in the worlds’ most prestigious SCI-indexed journals. She is also serving the editorial role in various prestigious international journals.

In Recent 3 years, she was involved in developing and scaling-up of biogenic nano-products for agriculture and soil health with collaborative efforts of TERI, New Delhi and fertilizer companies. She has also captured a DBT-NER Mega research grant with North Eastern research institutions for developing functional non-toxic nano-coatings for prolonged shelf life of fruits and vegetables.

Her research interests are to explore rapid immuno-detection techniques, nano-sensors devices for food pathogens, biomolecules, toxins, and human health sensors, oriental medicinal plant products based selective fermentation & nano-nutrients based fortified functional food development and nano-formulations & nano-sensing for food & agricultural safety.

Her continuous research interests are to explore new techniques with nano-micro structures and their formulations for the benefit of food-agricultural, environment and human health sectors. She has completed a few international research projects in the field of fermented foods and their safety aspects and developed multiplexed portable nano-sensor devices. She has been actively involved in Nano-Agric. product developments for targeted aim of GHG reduction and Net Zero policies via developing multiple nano-agric. solutions for farmers benefits along with national and international industries.
