Brief Resume

Er. Samar Jyoti Hazarika Joined the Department of Energy Engineering as Assistant Professor on April 25, 2013. He received his Master of Technology in Energy Technology from Tezpur University, Tezpur (2004). Before joining NEHU he served National Productivity Council, under Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India, as Project Associate (November, 2005 – April 2007)  and  then  as   Assistant   Director  (May,  2007  to   April,  2013).  As  Assistant   Director  his
responsibilities  includes  monitoring and  implementation  of  different  schemes/project, consultancy and training activities in various SMEs, Govt. Department as well as Private Sector Enterprise. His experiences involve use energy in operation, maintenance and planning. He also served as Graduate Apprentice Trainee in Central Workshop, Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemical Limited, IOCL from November 2004 to November 2005. He was Research Associate in Grass-root Innovation and Augmentation Network – NE under National Innovation Foundation, IIT Guwahati from June 2003 - June 2004.
