Notice Inviting Quotation for one unit of Toxicity Analyzer

Quotations are invited from well established/reputed manufacturers, dealers, distributors/authorized agents for procurement of one unit of “Toxicity Analyzer” for analysis of toxicity of unknown samples collected from drinking water sources, industrial and municipal effluent, and pharmaceutical waste including cytotoxic dugs. 

The system should have the following technical specifications: 

  1. The measurement of toxicity should be based on the principle of measurement of luminescent effect of the toxic samples on Vibrio fisheri light emitting Bacteria and should confirm to USEPA approved methods as well as ISO approved method (ISO 11348 Part 1).
  2. The system should be able to function within a temperature range of 10-35 ? and humidity range of 10- 90%.
  3. The system should have illuminated graphic display and have provision for data storage.
  4. There should be provision of data transfer from the instrument to the PC or the printer.
  5. The software for the system must be compatible to Windows 10, should be universal and handed over to the Department of Chemistry, NEHU, so that it can be loaded to any other PC as and when required. No further financial involvement should be included in software handling in future.
  6. The system should come with a Hard Transport Carrying Case 

General terms and conditions

  1. The tender notice may be withdrawn at any time without assigning any reason thereof.
  2. The decision of the departmental purchase committee in this matter is final.
  3. DSIR certificate, road permit etc. will be provided by the department as and when required.
  4. The instrument along with required accessories should be delivered at the Dept. of Chemistry, NEHU, Shillong in good and working condition.
  5. The quotation should be drawn in the name of ‘The Coordinator, UGC-SAP-CAS Programme, Department of Chemistry, NEHU, Shillong – 793022, Meghalaya’
  6. The instrument should have one year warranty and four additional years of annual maintenance contract (quote separately).
  7. The Principal should suggest in writing the method of safe disposal of the bacteria to enable the Department to get institutional bio-safety clearance for the work. This should be supplied along with the quotation.
  8. A letter from the Principal should also be furnished guarantying that all the terms and conditions agreed by the supplier as written in the quotation as well as in the tender notice will be taken care of by the Principal in the event the supplier departs the Principal.
  9. Quotation must be in foreign currency and the payments terms must be Letter of Credit.
  10. Incomplete offer will be summarily rejected.
  11. The last date submission of quotation is 29/08/2017.
