A Walk-in interview for recruitment of Guest Faculty in North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, for the following positions in the Department of Botany, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong shall be held on 16th February, 2018 at 10.30 a.m. The specifications and qualifications for the positions are as follows:

No. of Guest Faculty Positions available:  3 (three)

Minimum Qualifications: As per UGC norms.

Desirable Specializations:

1. Genetics and Plant Breeding
2. Ecology, Biodiversity, Plant Taxonomy
3. Microbiology, Mycology, Plant Pathology
4. Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology
5. Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Plant Reproductive Biology

The qualifications shall be same as per UGC Notification 2010 for the recruitment of faculty at the level of Assistant Professor. The salary and the selection process will be as per UGC/NEHU norms. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview. The candidates shall bring their certificates, testimonials, publications etc. in original at the time of interview.
