Advertisement for walk-in -interview of guest lecturers (geography - 1 post, geoinformatics - 1 post)

As two vacancies are lying vacant in the Department of Geography, NEHU, Shillong for Guest Lecturer in Geography (1 post) and Guest Lecturer for Geoinformatics (1 post), a walk-in interview will be held on 20th February 2018 at 1.00 P.M. for the aforesaid posts for teaching Social/Cultural/Regional Planning and Development/Geographical Thought in the PG classes of Geography and PG Diploma Course in Geoinformatics starting from February 2018 for a period of one semester with the following qualifications:

For Guest Lecturer in Geography: Essential qualifications:

1. M.A.lM. Sc. in Geography with 55% marks having specialization in Social/Cultural/Regional Planning and Development/Geographical Thought
2. Candidates should fulfill UGC norms  

For Guest Lecturer in Geoinformatics:

Essential qualifications: MSc/M.Tcch with 55% marks in Geoinformatics from a recognized institute/un i vers ity. 

Desirable: Experience in teaching and training in GIS, Remote Sensing and GPS 

NOTE:

1. The remuneration would be @ Rs.l,OOO per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 25,000.00 per month as per UGC rule.
2. Candidates appearing for interview will not be paid any T A/DA.
3. Candidates are requested to bring all their original documents at the time of interview.
