Advertisement for the post of JRF/Project Fellow and Lab Assistant in DBT-funded Research Project Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF)(1 No.) and Lab Assistant (1 No.} to be appointed under DBT Twinning programme for NE titled "Screening of human Brucellosis infection in Northeast regions using point of care immunological and molecular tools" funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, sanctioned to Dr. Surya Bhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 for a period of three years from the sanctioned date. Candidates are requested to send their latest resume through email/post with details of their educational qualifications, full address, telephone number and e-mail address to the undersigned on or before 6th August 2018 and date of interview scheduled on 10th August 2018 at Office, Department of Biochemistry, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong-793022, Meghalaya. 

Qualification: 

For JRF/Project Fellow: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry/Biotechnology with good knowledge in the field of Microbiology/Immunology/Cell culture system, Animal models and Basic molecular and Biochemistry techniques, preference may be given to NET/GATE/SLET qualified candidates. 

For Lab Assistant: Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) or B.Sc. with Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) having knowledge and experience of sample collection. 

Emoluments: 

For JRF/Project Fellow: The emoluments shall be Rs. 25000/- + 20% HRA for the lst two years as a JRF and Rs. 28,000/- 20% HRA. per month for the 3rd year as a SRF and applicable, only if the JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/SLET qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the 1st two years as a Project Fellow and Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the 3rd year. No T.A or D.A will be paid to attend the interview 

For Lab Assistant: Consolidated Rs. 17,000/-per month
