3rd Webinar on "NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY, 2020: TOWARDS AN EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETY"

The third Webinar of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Webinar Series on “NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY, 2020: TOWARDS AN EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETY” was organised jointly by NEHU, Tura Campus, India and ICSSR-NERC, Shillong, India on 16th March, 2022. Chief Guest Prof. B. Panda, Honorary Director, Indian Council of Social Science Research, North Eastern Regional Centre, Shillong shared his thoughts oneconomic significance of NEP 2020 with the participants. He highlighted that NEP 2020 can lead India to become economic power. Prof. Ch. Ibohal Meitei, Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Manipur University shared his thoughts on how India can become global knowledge superpower. He also highlighted the significance of skill training for Indian youth. Prof. Arvind Kumar, Dean, Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship (ABVSME), Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU Main Campus, New Delhi deliberated on innovative ways towards successful implementation of NEP 2020 with focus towards use of technology and collaborations among institutions for achieving inclusiveness in NEP 2020 implementation. Dr. Deepak Bhagat, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, NEHU, Tura Campus and Coordinator of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Webinar Series” gave the welcome address. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sunildro L S Akoijam, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, NEHU, Tura. The webinar saw significant number of participants from different educational institutes of India.
