Celebrating 50 glorious years (Golden Jubilee) of the North-Eastern Hill University and under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ & ‘Fit India Movement’ the Sports Department of the University orgainised Badminton (Men & Women) Tournament from 29th to 30th June 2022. The tournament was organised at the Indoor Stadium, NEHU Permanent Campus, Shillong.
All together nine teams were participated in the tournament comprising of 68 participants including teaching, non-teaching, students and campus residents.
The tournament ended with an closing ceremony, where Dean of Social Science, Prof. K. Debberma, Director In-charge, Sports, Prof. B. S. Mipun, Dr. Asoke Kr. Erigala, Dept. of Education, NEHU, Sports Secretary, NEHUSU and Assistant Director (Physical Education) cum Organising Secretary Shri. N. Das were present and gave away the prizes to the winners.
