Run For Unity organised at the University (2019)

Along with the rest of the country, the North-Eastern Hill University celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) commemorating the 144^th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the iron-man and the first Home Minister & the Deputy Prime Minister of Independent India, on 31^st October, 2019.

Prof. S.K.Srivastava, the Vice-Chancellor of NEHU flagged off the run at 7.00 a.m. which followed the route from the Gate No. 5 of the campus to the Administrative Block via the Umshing village, adjacent to the campus and various locations within the campus. 

A large number of students and employees of the University participated in the event and took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge for integrity.

The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners by Dr. J.N.Nayak, Registrar, Prof. G. Singaiah, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Tura Campus and Prof. P.Nayak, Director, IQAC, NEHU.
