Author's Workshop on Scholarly Writing & Intellectual Ethics 2019


The NEHU Central Library in collaboration with Elsevier: a global information analytics is organizing a one day “Author’s Workshop on Scholarly Writing & Intellectual Ethics 2019” on the 20thof August 2019 at 11 am in the Science Seminar Hall, NEHU. 

The objective of the workshop is to create an opportunity to interact with the Librarians, Researchers & Faculty members and sharing information about the book publishing process of Elsevier. 

The workshop will also assist the researchers in enhancing their skills of writing books content and to interact with experts in the field of publishing and get their queries answered. 

It's also a great platform to interact and understand about the value of eBook content and usage in research and also understand about Elsevier's world-class platform "ScienceDirect". 

The workshop will have two sessions as follows: 

Session 1 (30 min): Elsevier eBooks User Awareness program: 

• Elsevier - An Introduction • Data driven publishing to create user-centric content for empowering knowledge • The ScienceDirect advantage! • ScienceDirect – eBooks • Q&A

Session 2 (90 min): Elsevier Author Workshop

• Introduction to scholarly publishing • ScienceDirect Topic Pages : Using AI and Machine learning to support research & teaching • Plan and Structure your article • Best practices sharing • Peer Review • Publishing ethics and Plagiarism • Introductions to Free Resources
