Brief Profile

Lairenlakpam Joyprakash Singh is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. His research interests are in the general area of Signal Processing and its Applications. He received the Certificate, Diploma, and B.Tech. Degrees in Electronics Technician, Electronics & Electrical Engineering (EEE), and ECE from North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Pradesh, in 1995, 1997, and 1999, respectively. He later obtained M.Tech. degree from Tezpur University in 2000, and Ph.D.(Engg.) from Jadavpur University in 2006. He started his journey in the teaching profession at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim, in August 2001 as a Lecturer and later became a Reader. He then joined NEHU in July 2006 as a Reader and became the founding Head of the Department of ECE.
